Dr. Steve Presence - who is a contributor to the SiFTI network - was awarded £45,000 by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council for ‘The Radical Film Network: Sustaining Alternative Film Cultures’. The funding will enable a series of events to take place over two years at key counter-cultural and industry-oriented festivals in the UK and US, including Liverpool Radical Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Workers’ Unite Film Festival in New York City and the Bristol Radical Film Festival, and will contribute to the long-term sustainability and visibility of committed film culture.

RFN was set-up in 2013 to provide infrastructural support for politically engaged, aesthetically innovative film culture around the world. For more information please visit
